2022 AUDITIONS!!!

Hey Oakwood! After 3 long years, Oakwood Summer Theatre is finally bringing mainstage musicals back to Salem County! Our Auditions are fast approaching, and here is everything you need to know about them!

Children’s Production: Dorothy in Wonderland the Musical!

The worlds of Oz and Wonderland collide in this fantastically fun mash up with Dorothy and Alice. When Dorothy and her friends are swept away by another twister to Wonderland, they team up with Alice and meet many other interesting characters along the way, including the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, March Hare, the Cheshire Cat and many more. They also must face a dangerous new foe — the Queen of Hearts! Will Dorothy and her friends be able to get back to Kansas? Will Alice find her way home to London?

Mainstage Musical: Singin’ In the Rain!

A classic stage musical about the transition in Hollywood between silent films and ‘talkies.’ Friends Don, Cosmo, and Kathy try to save their film by making it a musical. Will their film end up being a success?

If your child would like to be in the kid’s show, auditions are Monday, May 23 6-9pm and Wednesday, May 25 6-9pm in Davidow Hall at Salem Community College. We are looking for actors between the ages of 8-18. Performances are Wednesday, July 13 (10 am); Thursday, July 14 (7pm); and Friday July 15 (10am and 7pm).

If you would like to be in the mainstage musical, auditions are also Monday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 25 6-9pm in Davidow Hall at Salem Community College. We are looking for actors age 8 and older. Please bring a song prepared to sing for auditions. Performances are Friday, August 5; Saturday, August 6; Friday, August 12; and Saturday, August 13 (7pm).
